Setting a record in July

In July 2012, Jat Airways carried the greatest number of passengers on its scheduled European flights since the year 2000. The record number of 121,336 passengers carried in July on scheduled Euro-Mediterranean services represents Jat's best result in the past 12 years. During that month, Jat Airways carried a total of 180,192 passengers on its scheduled and charter flights, which is a 15% increase compared to the same month last year.

Over the summer months Jat regularly carries approximately 6,000 passengers and this year's May was another record-setting month with the greatest number of passengers transported in Euro-Mediterranean services in the past 12 years, while in June the Serb national carrier transported more passengers on scheduled and charter flights than it had done since 1991.

In the first seven months of 2012, Jat carried 755,555 passengers, which is 12% above the same period in 2011, with cabin load factor up by 6%, thus rising to 74%. The number of passengers flying to Euro-Mediterranean destinations until the end of July this year showed a 10% increase in comparison to the same period in 2011, when Jat had also achieved a record increase in cabin load factor and number of passengers.

The results achieved in 2011 and the first six months of 2012 and, above all, the number of passengers showing a steady increase for the second year in a row, point to passengers' growing interest for traveling with the Serb national air carrier.
