Jat Airways at the Tourism Fair in BelgradeLast Year's Record Results and This Year's New Services PresentedLast year, with a 17.8% increase in passenger numbers compared to 2010, Jat Airways assumed its place alongside the four most successful airlines in Europe. This summer, Jat will be flying to three destinations in Croatia – Split, Dubrovnik, and Pula – and will be using Gatwick airport, in addition to Heathrow, for its flights to London – these were the news revealed to the media at the press conference held at the 34th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade. Jat Airways Sales and Marketing Director, Dragan Breneselovic, pointed out that with a 10% rise in cabin load factor the airline had scored another excellent result in 2011: "These positive achievements are certainly the result of the excellent cooperation we have with partner airlines such as Etihad, Emirates, Alitalia, Virgin and others, but they also show that Jat Airways is doing a good job. In 2011, we had an 8% increase in revenue over 2010, and in January 2012 we also recorded an 8% increase in relation to last year, said Breneselovic, announcing that Jat Airways passengers will soon be able to change their reservations online, a service provided by the world’s leading airlines." Sales Director for Serbia and the West Balkans, Djordje Vukotic told the reporters that after more than twenty years Jat Airways would be resuming scheduled flights from Belgrade to Split from early July until the end of September, with two flights a week. Jat Airways will be reintroducing flights to Dubrovnik this summer with a flight more than last year, namely with three weekly flights operating from 15 June to the end of September. After a two year break, Jat Airways will also be flying to Split again, twice a week, from mid-June to the end of September. "In response to passenger interest for flights to the UK capital for the forthcoming Olympic Games, this summer Jat Airways will also be landing at Gatwick airport from 15 June to 15 September, in addition to the usual flights to Heathrow. Besides these destinations, additional flights will be introduced to Moscow which will be operated by night, allowing passengers better connecting times for destinations in the region. There is also the City Break offer, provided in cooperation with the Belgrade Tourist Organization and various agencies and hotels in Belgrade with a view to promoting Belgrade and Serbia and boosting tourist numbers", said Mr. Vukotic.
