Jat Airways saw an increase in the number of passengers and an increase in air cabin occupancy, improved regularity of flights, and an increased number of flight hours in the first month of 2006 as compared to one year ago.
The national air carrier transported 71.064 passengers in January, which is a ten percent increase over the same month in 2005. The regularity of air traffic has increased to 75 percent while airplanes flew an average of 7 hours per day, which represents a 33 percent increase in flight time over the same period last year. The largest increase in air traffic was seen in flights to Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Slovenia and Great Britain.
In the next months we will focus on further increasing air traffic, particularly with respect to goods and mail, where our results are weaker than those of last year |
