I am convinced that this new service is going to make Jat Airways more competitive in the market, especially after its liberalization at the beginning of this year. Serbia's goal is to have strong flag carrier that at the same time will be regional center so we are constantly working to fulfill this goal", said Božidar Djelić, Vice-President of the Serbian Goverment in charge of European integration, at the press conference held on this occasion.

"I am pleased that we have successfully introduced, in cooperation with DDOR Novi Sad, a new service that no other air carrier in the world provides for its passengers. Having in mind that Serbian citizens still need health insurance when traveling to the European Union Countries, our wish was to save our passengers' money, time and justify their trust in us", said Srdjan Radovanović, Jat Airway Director General and added that in the future, Serbian flag carrier will continue with the constant upgrade of services and their adjustment to the wishes, needs and expectations of passengers.

Data/Images/_mg_3417_s.jpg Christian Otto Neu, DDOR Novi Sad Director General, pointed out that from now on, Jat Airways passengers can count on fast and quality medical help anywhere in the European Union. "Travel insurance will be provided in cooperation with Coris, one of the greatest European medical assistance networks. This and the tradition and experience of DDOR Novi Sad guarantee high quality of service. Medical assistance in the European Union is very expensive, so the passengers starting their trip without travel insurance risk exposing themselves to the enormous costs and even, in some cases, refusal of medical assistance", said Neu.

New service comprises the cost of passenger's medical treatment resulting from unforeseen disease or as consequence of accident that occurred during stay abroad. The insurance will comprise passenger's costs of necessary hospital or clinical treatment, medicines, medical supplies, transport to the nearest hospital, urgent surgeries due to acute disease, dental treatments due to acute problem, transport to the country of residence and other types of help. In case they need help, Jat Airways passengers can receive complete assistance via call centre: from the information where and how to ask for help and medical advices to the organization of their return after the treatment.
