The procedure of introducing new service continues – opening of bids

FREE TAXI RIDE FOR JAT AIRWAYS PASSENGERS

Procedure of providing free taxi ride to and from Belgrade Airport for all Jat Airways passengers continues with public opening of bids for this service. Two offers were submitted to the tender – one by the Union of Taxi Drivers and Truck Operators Nezavisnost, while other was joint offer of Belgrade Taxi Drivers and Belgrade Business Taxi Association.

"This service applies only to the City of Belgrade area and includes free taxi ride to or from Belgrade Airport for passengers with Jat Airways ticket. In order to use this service, passengers only have to show Serbian flag carrier ticket to the taxi driver," said Vlada Ognjenović, Jat Airways Deputy Director General and president of Tender Committee, by adding that soon, Serbian flag carrier will leave its passengers at ease in the matter of arriving to and from Belgrade airport. They will, practically, travel from their homes.

Public procurement procedure for this service was stopped on December 2, 2009 due to the obstruction of one bidder. Procedure now continues, after the Republic Committee for the Protection of Rights denied bidder's claim for the protection of rights as it was not presented in due time. Free taxi ride is only one of many new services for passengers that Jat Airways will introduce as part of its measures for the upgrade of business operation.
