Jat Airways closed tender procedure for free taxi rides

After the claim of two taxi drivers associations for protection of their rights, Jat Airways decided to stop further activities regarding public procurement of free taxi ride service for Jat Airways passengers to and from "Nikola Tesla" Airport. The final decision will be made in compliance with the Public Procurement Act. Until then, according to the legal procedure, all participants in the process of public procurement will be notified by Jat Airways about the mentioned decision as well as about further actions. In the first instance, the decision will be made by Jat Airways. After that, the participants have a possibility to accept the decision or to continue the process in front of the Republic Committee for the Protection of Rights that will bring final judgment.

Regardless of the fact that Jat Airways, after the claim for protection of the rights was submitted, has no longer a permission to undertake any type of activity in the public procurement process until final decision, Serbian flag carrier's plans to provide free taxi ride and many other services that have been announced remain. This will be done after the termination of the procedure envisaged by the Public Procurement Act.

Constantly upgrading and adjusting services according to the wishes, needs and expectations of passengers, Serbian flag carrier opened tender procedure for free taxi rides to and from airport at the beginning of November. Closing date for bids was December, 2. The goal of Serbian flag carrier is to provide fast, safe and secure flight to many destinations for its passengers, leaving them at ease in the matter of arriving to and from Belgrade airport.
