Jat Airways - safe and secure

All the indicators analyzed today on Jat Airways Safety Committee, including those concerning special control of the whole Jat Airways fleet have shown that the safety of passengers, crew and airplanes in the past period has never been questioned and that Jat Airways flight crew and technical services have acted according to the prescribed procedures. Technical control has not encountered any irregularities, except on the airplane with license plates YUAON, where the screws and nuts were changed.

As for the events and incidents which occurred during the past period, Jat Airways Safety Management System had adequately and duly reacted by establishing and implementing remedial measures intended to maintain the required level of safety.

From internal organization of Jat Tehnika, which is an independent company since 2005, Jat Airways shall ask active access to the process of defining and implementing remedial measures concerning flying safety. At the same time, Jat Airways shall cooperate with competent state authorities, in the first place with the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia.

Jat Airways maintains its fleet with great effort and success despite very high maintenance costs. All relevant international certificates confirm that security and safety procedures carried out by Jat Airways conform to the highest air safety requirements. Jat Airways was the first of about 300 members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) awarded with the IOSA safety certificate without any remarks regarding the strict international IATA-prescribed standards. The same success was repeated in 2006 and 2008.
