The Ministry of Youth and Sport and Jat Airways - together in support of young talents

The Ministry of Youth and Sport and Jat Airways signed on May 6^th the Agreement on Business Cooperation and Support regarding the Fund for Young Talents scholars. The Agreement was signed in the Palace of Serbia by Snežana Samardžić Marković, the Youth and Sport Minister, and Saša Vlaisavljević, Jat Airways acting director – general.

This Agreement allows the Fund for Young Talents scholars with scholarship for graduate and master studies in EU countries to buy air tickets for all Jat Airways scheduled services at reduced fare and under special conditions. This includes 75% ticket price discount and allows open return date in case of round-trip ticket as well as changing of returning date without additional charges.

The Fund for Young Talents is dedicated to promoting, recognizing and awarding outstanding achievements of young talents in different areas, their professional training and the development of youth activism. The Fund, in compliance with the National Youth Strategy, gives financial support for young talents education and training, as well as for promoting their achievements and implementation of their professional knowledge and skills in Serbia.

This way, the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Fund for Young Talents try to give the Serbian students an additional motivation to use their knowledge from best European universities in Serbia. Jat Airways helps achieving this goal by supporting the most talented young people considering them the best representatives of Serbia in the world.

Very high scholarship criteria - the students must have at least 8.5 GPA on 5 to 10 scale as well as commit to work in Serbia for at least 5 years after finishing the studies – are the reasons for Jat Airways to offer this special discount.

Jat Airways is pleased to enhance the summer 2009 season with this socially engaged activity that actively connects state institutions, economical sector and young generations. It is also a great satisfaction for Jat Airways to work together with the Ministry of Youth and Sport on this project.

This activity, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, will include the most talented young people in Jat Airways campaign whose slogan The best fly with Jat promotes the best Serbia has in sport, culture and public life. For the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Fund for Young Talents this activity is a beginning of cooperation with other Serbian companies and institutions in order to create better conditions for the development of young talents.

The national airline company and the Fund for Young Talents hope that all other Serbian companies will recognize their interest in similar activities and support them in the future.

The school year 2008/9 discount certificate for scholars is available in the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 2, office 338. The tickets are available in Jat Airways Head Office in Bulevar umetnosti 16, starting from May 11^th, 2009.
