Jat Airways carried a record 201,073 passengers, 191 tonnes of cargo and 41 tonnes of mail on the 2,502 flights in August 2008. Compared to the same month last year, the number of passengers rose eight percent, as the average Cabin Load Factor (CLF) stood at 75 percent. The most significant increase was recorded in charter traffic with 13 percent greater number of flights and 21 percent more passengers compared to the last year's levels.
The traffic plan for Montenegro was exceeded by 36 percent, with the charter traffic scoring 29 percent beyond the plan. Owing to great demand from travel agencies, a further 117 flights have been added to assist charter traffic.
Jat Airways in August aircraft logged 4,473 block hours, a five-percent rise above the planned level and four percent more than last year. In August, the fleet on the average logged 10:42 hours daily, an eight-percent increase against the same month last year. The B-737-300 fleet achieved the best results. It exceeded the plan by 11 percent and last year’s results by six percent. The B-737-300 fleet also recorded the highest daily average 11:55 hours. |
