2008 Jat Day
Spending Time together in Fun and Games
 The 81st anniversary of Jat and civil aviation in Serbia was marked at Belgrade's Ada Ciganlija sports and recreation park on June 14. The event, held this year under the slogan "Tradition Is on Our Side" rallied several hundred people from Jat and other companies in Belgrade and Serbia.
Tournaments in team and individual sports, recreational contests, various skills demonstrations and a music and entertainment program were held as part of the traditional field day on the sport terrains at the "Belgrade seaside". Čaba Siladji and Damir Mikec, who will compete for Serbia in the swimming and shooting events at the Beijing Olympics in August, presented the cups to the most successful competitors.
June 17 is the day when Aeroput was founded 81 years ago. Yugoslav Airlines continued this tradition in 1947 and Jat Airways since 2003.
That this year's anniversary was a successful one may perhaps best be illustrated with the statement of Saša Vlaisavljević, the Serbian national air company director general. – We have worked hard to organize the best ever Jat Day and I think we have succeeded in this.
Jat Day was organized by Jat Media Center in cooperation with the JAT Sports Society.
