Jat Airways carried 227,177 passengers, 646 tonnes of cargo and 142 tonnes of mail in the first quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, the number of carried passengers rose 7.4 percent, while the quantity of cargo dropped 14 percent, with quantity of mail increasing three percent. The cabin load factor (CLF), which stood at 55 percent, rose three percentage points, while the weight load factor (WLF) went up two percentage points.

The number of passengers carried to Montenegro increased 22 percent, while the quantity of cargo dropped 26 percent. The CLF was 56 percent, a rise of 13 percentage points. In the Euro-Mediterranean traffic, the number of carried passengers went up five percent, while the quantity of cargo fell by 12 percent. The CLF stood at 54 percent, a rise of three percentage points compared to the same period of 2007.

In the January-March period this year, Jat Airways logged 8,033 block hours, a two-percent rise compared to last year. The fleet's average daily number of hours recorded for the January-March period this year was 8:13 block hours. The B737-300 aircraft logged the largest number of block hours daily in the fleet - 8:58 block hours, the ATR-72 aircraft - 7:13 block hours, and B737-400 - 6:56 block hours.
