The number of passengers in the eleven months rose eight percent compared to the same period last year. The average cabin load factor was up four percentage points and stood at 63 percent, while the weight load factor increased three percentage points.
The largest increase since the beginning of the year was recorded by charter traffic. The number of passengers on charter flights was as much as 69 percent higher, while the cabin load factor was 77 percent, or three percentage points up against 2006.
In November, the recorded regularity was 68 percent, having dropped by five percentage points compared to last year. Arrival regularity declined by eleven percentage points. As many as 45 flights were delayed because of adverse weather conditions, mostly due to fog that rendered traffic difficult for two days. However, if the reasons for up to fifteen-minute delays had been eliminated, regularity would have recorded 80 percent.
In the eleven months, Jat aircraft logged 35,460 block hours, a five-percent rise up on the same period last year. The B-737-300 aircraft fleet accounted for the highest improvement – 21 percent. Two B-737-400 aircraft were used only in January, while only the aircraft marked YU-AOS has been flying since February. The fleet's daily fight-hour average in the January-November period was 9:12 block hours, a seven-percent increase against the same period of last year. The B-737-300 aircraft logged the largest daily number of flight hours.
To this should also be added that the one-millionth passenger was carried three weeks earlier compared to last year. According to the nine-month report, in 2007 the national air company for the second consecutive time achieved results in the black, having recorded profit amounting to 184 million dinars, or 2.4 million euros, as all indicators forecast 2007 would be a successful business year. |
