In the October 28, 2007-March 29, 2008 period, Jat Airways is to fly according to the winter timetable. Under this timetable, scheduled air traffic is to be maintained to 25 Euro-Mediterranean countries, on thirty-four lines with 255 frequencies per week. The novelties, compared to the last winter season, include the new destination to Banja Luka, in Republika Srpska, and a planned direct flight to Tel Aviv. This winter, Jat aircraft departure and arrival times will be more favorable for passengers, especially for business travelers.
Jat has re-established three weekly scheduled flights to Banja Luka in November – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Belgrade in the evening hours, and on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays from Banja Luka in the morning hours. The ticket, without tax, costs 45 euros one-way and 79 euros roundtrip. The flight between Belgrade and Banja Luka takes thirty-five minutes. In this way, passengers from Republika Srpska can travel from Belgrade to all destinations on which Jat flies. Jat tour operator, Air Lift, is to begin its arrangements’ sales in Republika Srpska, and under these arrangements, tourists can fly between Belgrade and Banja Luka free of charge. The Serbian national air company expects solid results on this line and is in this way contributing to upgrading relations between the two countries.
The most frequent Jat Airways lines under the winter timetable are those to Frankfurt, Vienna, Moscow, Zurich, Paris, London, Skoplje, Sarajevo, Podgorica and Tivat, on which the national air carrier’s aircraft will conduct at least one daily flight. On the Niš-Zurich line, Jat Airways will fly twice a week.
In cooperation with the most prestigious foreign air carriers and based on commercial code-share arrangements, passengers from Serbia will be in a position to fly to Vienna by Jat and Austrian Airlines on a total of 26 weekly flights. The connection to Milan is maintained together with Alitalia – three times a day. In cooperation with Emirates Airline, Jat Airways offers the most favorable connecting flights to passengers bound for Australia and New Zealand, Beijing, the Near, Middle and Far East and India via Dubai, and with Aeroflot to Beijing via Moscow or with Air China via Frankfurt.
