Seven hundred thousand passengers carried in seven months

In the January-July 2007 period, Jat Airways carried 715,726 passengers, 1,871 tonnes of cargo and 302 tonnes of mail. In comparison to last year, the number of passengers rose by 7 percent, while the quantity of cargo dropped 6 percent and mail 22 percent, respectively. The cabin load factor stood at 60 percent – a rise by 4 percentage points, while the weight load factor increased by 3 percentage points.

On the Euro-Mediterranean routes, the number of passengers went up 9 percent, while the quantity of cargo dropped by 9 percent. The cabin load factor was 58 percent – up three percentage points. Charter traffic recorded a rise in the number of carried passengers by 59 percent, while the cabin load factor stood at 75 percent – four percentage points up.

In the seven months of this year, Jat Airways aircraft logged 21,707 block hours – a four-percent increase on last year’s level. The fleet’s overall average daily flight-hour aggregate in the January-July 2007 period was  9:22 block hours, a 12-percent increase against the same period last year. The largest daily number of flight hours was recorded by the B-737-300 fleet 9:47 block hours, followed by B-737-400 - 8:45 block hours and ATR-72 - 8:28 block hours.
