Jat Airways’ first online ticket

Its first online ticket Jat Airways sold, symbolically, on April 25, 2007, at the special press conference held in Slavija Lux Hotel. The roundup Belgrade-Paris air ticket bought Marina Kotevski, a journalist at TV SOS channel. E-ticket was sold by Mirela Burda, Jat’s e-ticketing project manager.

- The air ticket bought by Ms. Marina is now in Jat’s data base and in order to enter the flight she will need only some of her personal documents, - says Zoran Hudak, Jat’s commercial director, adding that Jat in this way has joined the ranks of the biggest international airlines.

As from April 25th online air tickets can be bought at the Jat’s Office at 16, Bulevar Umetnosti, and from the end of May, after implementation of e-ticketing system in all offices and representative offices of the Serbian national air carrier, passengers will be able to buy online air tickets for all Jat’s destinations.

Jat’s distinguished guest at the promotion of the first online ticket sale in Slavija Lux Hotel, Mr. Dušan Kostić, the IATA representative for Serbia and Montenegro, said to the F&E representatives that e-ticketing is the future of air traffic.

- IATA gathers 250 regular air carriers, which is 94 percent of the total international air traffic. The representative office in Serbia was opened in 2003 and when Jat Airways as from January 1st, 2008, introduces completely e-ticketing, the Serbian market will operate in accordance with the principles of the modern air traffic, - said Mr. Kostić.
