Thus, compared to January 2006, growth in passenger numbers was 12 percent, cargo increase was 1.3 percent, while the cabin load factor was 2.8 percent up. Only transportation of mail has recorded a 15-percent drop compared to the preceding year. The cabin load factor with regard to the business class, too, was unsatisfactory, recording slightly more than 2,000 passengers or 23 percent, although this category recorded an increase against the preceding year.
The Jat Airways fleet has covered 80 million kilometers, which is ten million kilometers more or 15 percent above levels recorded in the same period in 2006. The aircraft recorded slightly more than 2,500 block hours. The B737-300 accounted for the highest number of block hours – 1,663, the ATR made 658 block hours and B737-400 clocked 209 block hours. |
