– Every role that I accept presents a challenge. During my theatre career, directors thought demanding classical roles were right for me and there’s no getting away from that, even if I wanted to, said Dragan Mićanović, an actor who has been winning the hearts of audiences in and outside of Serbia for nearly twenty years. (...) There are few places and events in history of Serbia that are being considered as sacred by the Serbian people. The most of these, evidences suffering of Serbian people, such as many crosses with names of Serbs on them, who altruistically sacrificed their lives, defending their country during decades. They speak about them quietly and respectfully. One of these places is the Greek island Corfu. (...) The first mention of Zrenjanin, or Bečkerek as it was called then, was in 1326. In the eighties of the last century, this town was considered to be the greatest "food factory" of the Balkans. After years of transition, it has once again become one of the most attractive investment points in Serbia, with a special focus on tourism. (...) Digitalizing Serbia’s Cultural and Scientific Heritage The University Library in Belgrade is the only institution in southeastern Europe involved in the European Library Project (Biblioteka europeana).
