Opening word from Jat Airways President & CEO

Dear Friends,

We are at a crossroads of two important years. We are soon leaving behind us 2007, the year that marked the 80th anniversary of commercial air traffic in Serbia and the 60th anniversary of Jat Airlines. Few companies can boast such dignified and substantial anniversaries whose relevance extends far beyond commercial interests.

The fiscal year was successful for Jat Airways. Indications are strong that Jat Airways will fulfill its forecasts made at the beginning of the year – that the number of transported passengers at Jat Airways would reach levels not seen since the 1990s, and the company would, as a result, return to operating "in the black".

We've been able to achieve such results thanks to you. Bearing in mind that old adage "One good turn deserves another", Jat is doing everything in its power to justify your trust. Our efforts have produced tangible results in 2007; we are now included on the prestigious list of the safest airlines in the world, while the introduction of new technology, like our new on-line ticketing and a seat-booking system, promises better and more convenient service. The company has launched the process of transforming its ownership structure, a project that will be carried out in the course of next year. In this respect, many challenges lie ahead, but we will successfully face them together.

In 2008, we will increase existing air traffic, open new lines, and thereby make it possible to reach any point on the planet from Serbia. We will continue introducing the most-up-to-date information technologies and improving service quality at all levels.

Next year will highlight clear prospects for the future. The privatisation process will be completed, from which we expect to obtain a new fleet, establish our position as regional leader and to re-establish our position among Europe’s best air carriers. In this way, Jat will become and continue to be a brand name of Serbia.

I wish the New Year to bring all of you optimism, and hope that it will provide us with strength to successfully come to grips with the existing challenges and to see 2008 as another historic year for Jat.

In my own name, and on behalf of all Jat Airways employees, I wish a happy and prosperous 2008 to all passengers, current and future, business partners and friends of our house!

Saša Vlaisavljević,
Jat Airways President & CEO
