World’s Most Beautiful Tennis Player

Like every top tennis player, Ana Ivanović travels often. She spends a sizeable portion of her leisure time onboard airplanes, and one of the air companies she prefers to travel with is Jat Airways.

At one point last year, the Serbian tennis player held the leading position on the WTA list. She has promised to once again try to be the world’s number one player this year. Ana Ivanović has been in professional tennis for five years, and began 2009 as number five. However, she is officially the most beautiful tennis player in the world. She will be only twenty-two in November, but has considerable playing experience and has won many tournaments, prizes and recognitions.

With regard to your frequently flights around the world, are you satisfied with the service provided by Jat Airways?

Yes, very much. They always make me feel so welcome. The cabin crew is one of the friendliest I’ve encountered.

Is there any reason in particular that, in your estimation, Jat Airways should be considered a unique and specific airline?

I think the friendly, fun and enthusiastic mentality of the Serbian people is reflected in the cabin crew. We have a good sense of humour. For me, when I am on a long journey across the globe, usually involving three flights, the last flight is always special because it is the first contact with my mother language after a long time away.

How do you feel in the role of UNICEF Ambassador of? What can you say about your activities in the future?

I feel very honoured to be a UNICEF ambassador. I take this responsibility seriously and I really want to set the best example I can for kids, to help them in small ways. I have been an ambassador for over a year and I’m sure it is going to be a long and special relationship, and together we can achieve a lot of good.

In recent years tennis has become the most popular sport in Serbia, especially among children. Your contribution, along with the achievement of other Serbian players, is formidable! Your comment?

It’s very flattering. I started playing tennis because of Monica Seles, so it feels great to know that some kids started playing tennis because of me. I am honoured that Novak, Jelena, Nenad, Janko and myself have helped make tennis so popular, because it’s a great sport that many people can enjoy playing and watching.

What can we expect from you in your WTA professional career?

My goal has always been to win all the Grand Slams. I hope there isn’t too much expectation on me, but I promise I will always do my best, and we shall see how I do.

Do you still intend to bring some of WTA tournaments to Belgrade?

It would be great if Belgrade had a WTA tournament. It’s a very complicated process with many rules, so I am leaving the details to my management, but of course I support it and I would be more actively involved if we decide to take a tournament.
