The Јаt Airways Aeromedical Centre – Occupational Medicine Office is a highly specialized medical centre certified for the following activities:
- Initial medical screening for all types of aviation licenses;
- Medical examinations for extending all types of aviation (class 1 and class 2) licenses;
- Occupational medicine checkups of employees (Jat Airways employees as well as third persons);
- Aviation and occupational medicine checkups for private individuals;
- Aviation medicine training for aviation personnel;
- Aviation medicine training for medical doctors and psychologists;
- Working ability assessments for all employee profiles;
- Psychological screening and testing for hiring and job change;
- Comprehensive and specific laboratory services, including narcotics and psychoactive substances detection, functional diagnostics, including the latest 12-lead ECG with holter-monitoring and analysis, computerized spirometry and modern ultrasound exams;
- Highly trained staff to escort infirm passengers.
On June 18, 2007, the Јаt Airways Aeromedical Centre received the license from the Republic of Serbia Civil Aviation Directorate to perform work in keeping with RS JAR FCL 3 (amendment V) pertaining to JAA standards when evaluating medical fitness for class 1 and class 2 categories. Class 1 comprises candidates for professional transport airplanes and helicopters pilot and flight engineers and flight navigators' licenses. Class 2 comprises candidates for private airplane and helicopter, hot air balloon, glider, microlite aircraft, hang glider, paraglider pilot and parachuting and cabin staff licenses. In keeping with the above, the Јаt Airways Aeromedical Centre is as of November 15, 2007, licensed to carry out examinations of all persons with aviation licenses from any JAA (EASA) member-country. |
