Training

The Jat Airways Training Centre at Belgrade Airport organises several cargo courses:

  • Basic course in handling cargo;
  • Basic cargo course;
  • Advanced cargo course;
  • Dangerous goods – basic course;
  • Dangerous goods – refreshment course.

Cargo handling

The duration of training is 7 days, and refers to the acceptance of cargo for carriage, stowing, loading, transit and unloading of cargo, ULD equipment.

The course is intended for airport handling services staff.

Basic cargo course

Intended for cargo agency staff who perform or intend to perform sale of international cargo documents for scheduled airline operations.

The course comprises the following: conditions for the carriage of cargo, flight schedule, booking, international cargo tariffs, international AWB.

The duration of training is 15 days.

Advanced cargo course

Deals with the psychology of cargo carriage sales, conditions for the carriage of cargo, international cargo tariffs, financial affairs.

The duration of the course is 10 days

The precondition for attending the course is the previously completed basic cargo course.

Dangerous goods – basic course & refreshment course

Persons who successfully completed the course "Carriage of dangerous goods – 434" will be to properly apply the ICAO-IATA regulations on the carriage of dangerous goods.

The course relates to:

  • Handling cargo as it pertains to airline carrier staff;
  • Ground handling, stowing and loading of cargo and baggage – airline carrier staff;
  • Passenger and baggage handling – airline carrier staff;
  • Flight personnel;
  • Cabin staff;
  • Consignors of dangerous goods;
  • Cargo agents (shippers);
  • Cecurity services conducting passenger and baggage control.

 

All courses may be attended by cargo agents registered with IATA as well as those who are not, i.e. those who undertake the sale of transportation documents in airline traffic or who intend to perform such operations.

An intermediate level "A" knowledge of the English language is recommended for the course.
