Jat Airways a.d. is Serbia's national air carrier engaged in the transport of passengers and cargo in scheduled and charter services, crew and airline staff training, office leasing, and other business activities.
The Jat Airways fleet has 14 aircraft: 10 Boeing 737-300s and 4 ATR 72s. JAT serves over 30 Euro-Mediterranean destinations, providing its passengers with worldwide connections through services jointly operated with the most reputable airlines of the world.
Jat Airways is the legal successor of "Aeroput", which was founded on 17 June 1927. "Aeroput" was succeeded by Jugoslovenski aerotransport (Yugoslav Airlines) on 1 April 1947, which on 8 August 2003 changed its name to Javno preduzeće za vazdušni saobraćaj Jat Airways (Public Company for Air Transportation Jat Airways). On 28 July 2008, Jat Airways's legal status changed to its current title Akcionarsko društvo za vadušni saobraćaj Jat Airways (Joint Stock Company for Air Transport).
Jat Airways has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 1961 and of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) since 1971. It was one of the first airlines to receive the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Certificate in 2005.

Fleet
Jat Airways currently disposes of a fleet of 14 aircraft for the transport of passengers and cargo in national and international air transport: 10 B 737-300s and 4 ATR 72-200s.
Training Center
The Jat Airways Training Center provides training for various professional profiles: flight crew for various aircraft types, testing and training of other staff within the Company (STW/STD, ticket sales, cargo transport etc.)

The Јаt Airways Aeromedical Centre – Occupational Medicine Office provides medical services to flight, technical and other company staff.
